I don’t even know where to begin with this post. Except to just tell a quick story of our weekend. Kristen, Cheryl, and I set out on a road trip to Nashville back in September that would end up being one of the best highlights of my year. Of course, any of you that know Kristen, can imagine we were laughing the entire trip. And to top that, Kristen was more giddy and bouncy than usual for this wedding, as this one was one of her best friends from college. We met up with the bride, groom and the groom’s daughter Friday afternoon for a session about their new family and some images of just the two love birds. When the groom pulled up in front of the Governor’s Club on a six-seater golf cart grinning like a Cheshire cat from ear to ear, that should have been an indication of our wild ride the next couple of hours. We had such fun! I never knew that a golf cart could go so fast or take hills and curves like a roller coaster cart. Seriously. Just ask Kristen, she had the bruises from hanging on for dear life to prove it! You can see the images from that session here and also read Kristen’s beautiful words about her friend.
The rest of the weekend didn’t disappoint either. We laughed and cried through the night at the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. And then laughed and cried the next day as well. The entire weekend was built around the love they have for each other, what a miracle life and their story truly is, and celebrating that! I am truly honored that you both chose me to be with you on this amazing day. From the bottom of my heart, I want you to know how much of a blessing the both of you are. I’m so excited for your new family and to see where God leads!
Look at this gloriously beautiful day they had to celebrate! I couldn’t help but start with this one to get you hooked to view the story of their day, because…..be warned…..this is a MUCH larger post than normal!
I want to say a special thanks to Kristen and Cheryl. First and foremost for being amazing friends and making the weekend the absolute best it could be, and also for working so hard to pull this big weekend off! It wouldn’t have been possible without either of you!!!
