One of the greatest additions to downtown Searcy in the last year is the opening of Bliss Salon & Boutique.  We watched like excited superfans as they renovated the building behind us and are blessed to have them as neighbors.  Paige, who owns the salon, did an amazing job of creating a beautiful, classy, hip and comfortable space.  It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger.

Cheryl and I were ecstatic when Paige called to have her team photographed!   A lot of preparation went in to this shoot and we have a lot of people to thank.  First, thanks go out to one of our other downtown neighbors, Sowell’s Furniture, for the use of the beautiful turquoise sofa and to the strapping young lads who moved it for us.  Also, a big shout out to the Searcy Police Department who came out to shut down the intersection of Market and Gum so Cheryl could photograph safely (Thank you very much, Officer Hernandez.  We appreciate your help so much!).   The morning of the shoot, it was very hot, bright and early, so thank you to the lovely ladies, and Chad, for being willing to come out early and for being so patient with us.  You are such a fun group and it’s apparent you enjoy what you do.

The salon is made up of a talented team of stylists and one massage therapist.  They offer the best in beauty products, including Aveda and Morrocan Oil hair products as well as Jane Iredale cosmetics.

The boutique is located just inside the salon and is one of our favorite places!  It’s filled with stylish clothing, accessories, shoes and handbags.  There is something for every age and style!  It’s entirely too convenient that we can walk out our back door and head over there to shop.  :)  Inside the boutique, you’ll find one of Searcy’s greatest treasures, Betty.  For those of you like me, who need a little extra help navigating the fashion world, Betty is going to be your favorite thing about the boutique.  The first time I went, she had me trying on things I never would have thought would work for me… but she knew what she was doing.  :)  I left with several fabulous finds and a new friend.  Now, I’m hooked.  I LOVE that I go there and get things that aren’t available everywhere and I know that Betty is going to help me look my best!
