Meet Landon, one of our little studio mascots. He is the son of our FABULOUS sales consultant, Kristen, and has been photographed by Maggie and I many times over the last two years. Now that Kristen is part of the Zoë Portrait Art team, she gets special privileges, like having a professional photographer tag along to capture special happy moments like this one. Landon is THE BIGGEST fan of school buses. She has told me stories of how he sits at the window at 3:00 almost every day watching for the school bus that stops at the end of their driveway. (She’s even admitted to following a bus along it’s route so Landon could watch the kids get off…) Well, Kristen arranged for Landon to get a special tour of the Searcy Public School Bus Yard and even take a couple of spins around the parking lot earlier this week. To say Landon was over the moon would be an understatement. (And I have to say, it was pretty obvious that Kristen was BEYOND “over the moon” as well!) It was GREAT, and I was so happy to be able to capture it for her. We want to give a BIG shout out to James Frank, Denise Twisdale and Kris Thompson, from the transportation department at Searcy Public Schools, for making a little boy’s dream come true!
Oh, and for all you photographer types out there… check out the three images of him on the bus. It was late afternoon and getting dark quick with a storm brewing in the west, so I had to bump the ISO WAY up. Those are all at 6400 ISO. A bit grainy, but I LOVE that I have the ability to shoot in such low light situations without flash and still be able to see eyelashes! :)
