Another New Beginning | Searcy, Arkansas Child Photographer

After a BUSY, BUSY, BUSY fall portrait season, I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed my long Christmas vacation.  The time with my husband, children and extended family was greatly needed and I am so blessed to have a job that allowed me that time.  Yesterday was my first day back to work and I am coming into 2011 feeling refreshed, inspired and creative!  I can’t wait to see the great things that God has in store for me this year and the direction that He takes Cheryl and I with Zoë.

This year is already shaping up to be the biggest yet!  The one resolution that I have for myself and the business this year is to keep all of it under the leading and balance of the Lord, putting Him and my family first.  I want no success that does not come from God and I can’t expect that without purposing to submit to Him above all.  I am naturally a people-pleaser and tend to over-extend myself in order to keep everyone around me happy, despite the amount of stress it puts me under.  Stress that, in turn, negatively affects those whom I love the most.  I desperately want to be a God pleaser and I know that when I seek Him first, “all of these things will be added unto me”.    Periodically throughout the year, I refer back to my first post of the year as a means to keep me on track when my vision becomes clouded.  I just wanted to share my priorites with the great blogosphere as my mantra for 2011!

And now for my first sneak peek of the year!  This little DOLL came in for her six month session yesterday.  What can I say?  She is the epitome of squishy, delicious, baby goodness!
