We have to say that we feel like we are exhaling as we make this blog post. From the first day we walked into this space, things have been a whirlwind. As we stood with our mouths wide open, looking at those big beautiful windows, we immediately started spewing out ideas on how we could make this the perfect natural light studio for Zoë Portrait Art. After about 8 weeks of renovations, a fabulous contractor (Thanks Jared Wrye) and very understanding and supportive families, we feel like this studio has turned out to be a dream come true and what both of us would classify as “exceedingly and abundantly more than all we could ask or imagine…” (Eph. 3:20) It is located in historic downtown Searcy, AR in an upstairs loft space with floor to ceiling north facing windows. It is approximately 1400 square feet with a large open area for shooting, a separate office/workroom, and a changing room/storage closet (that will be renovated soon!) Our Open House was held this past Saturday and we are so thankful to each one of you who came out to see us, show your support and celebrate with us! For those of you who live out of town or who weren’t able to make it, here it is… a peek of our space:
A lot of people have asked us if we plan to continue holding on-location sessions with the opening of the new studio…and the answer is most definitely, YES! We love working on-location but are so excited to have the option to use our new, temperature controlled, and beautifully lit space year round, as well! It’s an exciting time for us! Thanks again to everyone who has encouraged us, prayed for us and shared in our excitement along the way!
Blessings,
Cheryl & Maggie
