We shared a small sneak peek from Derek & Tessa’s wedding last week and have been chomping at the bit to share the rest of these!  We know this is a long post, but we couldn’t help but give you the entire story of their day, and let you see what happens when Maggie and Cheryl team up to cover a wedding.   Like most brides, Tessa had envisioned a beautiful warm sunny day for the day she said “I do”, complete with a specially chosen outdoor location for portraits and an outside reception.   The weather forecast was not looking good and sure enough the day of the wedding, a cold front came through with huge amounts of rain and MUCH colder temperatures.   We have to say, both Tessa and Derek were troopers and knew some changes needed to be made.  The outside reception was moved inside, and we as a photographic team collaborated about the weather situation and came up with “plan B” for portraits.  The weather and lighting conditions were far less than desirable, but it was great to know we could confidently handle whatever the day brought our way and capture the story of the ONE day these two people had spent so much time dreaming about, planning for and investing in.   Derek and Tessa now have a precious collection of images they will be sure to cherish forever.  We thank them for inviting us to be part of their special day and pray their life together will be filled much happiness!
